Olympic Volunteer Story

I went out to do an interview for Sarah Galashan at the Whistler bureau who is a reporter for us, and CTV national. There is no link to a video of the story, but here is the website version. This is convergence journalism at its best. When a news story is published their is often a web version released first. This is done before all the video is edited, and stand-ups are done. In this case, the video of the story might not be posted online, because it is not “news” per se.

Also, I went to dinner with a Vancouverite last night and some of his friends. Here is a picture in Hons Wun-Ton House.

In this group of people we went out with their were 4 countries represented. It was a lot of fun, and some of the best Chinese food I have ever eaten. Here is a link to Hon’s website, It’s unlike any other Chinese restaurant I’ve ever been too.

We went on a tour of South Granville. We stopped at the french cultural center and my friends mothers condo where we saw some great views of downtown.

Here is a photo from the condo. You can see Cypress Mountain, the venue for aerials and snowboard half-pipe. It has plagued by the mild Vancouver weather.

Here is a link to story about the lack of snow on Cypress.

I’m planning on going to Granville Island to the Market tomorrow. If the weather is good I will go over to Stanley Park.

Thanks for all the comments, keep them coming.
