Canada’s Second Gold

Canada’s second gold medalist joined us on set tonight in front of a massive, loud and proud Canadian audience. Here are some photo’s.

I went by the cauldron once again and took some snapshots, this time with a real camera!

Here is a photo of the Russia House. It is an area to promote the winter games in Sochi in 2014. Russia has the largest delegation of any country at these games in preparation for when they host the games.

These are Inukshuks that people have made along the seawall from the athlete village to BC Place.

This is the athlete village.

Here you can see what downtown looks like during the olympics. It’s an amazing atmosphere.

7.1 Million people watched CTV when Bilodeau was presented with his gold medal. It’s exciting to be a part of all of this.

It was an eventful night in the news department. I broke the story of the barricade collapse to the news room. We found out about this at around 10, and had a live shot and an interview set up by 11. I also obtained photos from a caller who was on the scene when the incident occurred.

CTV was also first on the scene at marine terminal equipment malfunction that killed a worker.

I’m meeting lots of new people and am having a ball.

Best Regards,

Tucker
